Ex-Senator, Advocate for Persons with Disabilities, and Co-founder of OKU Sentral
YB Datuk (Dr.) Ras Adiba Radzi is a trailblazer in Malaysia, recognized for her extensive contributions as a politician, community activist, and advocate for persons with disabilities (PWD). Appointed as a Senator in 2020, Ras Adiba has been a powerful voice in the Malaysian Parliament, championing the rights of PWDs. Her efforts have focused on enhancing education, accessibility, and employment opportunities for the disabled community. Notably, she played a pivotal role in establishing drive-through vaccination centers during the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically catering to PWDs.
Apart from her political work, Ras Adiba has an illustrious career in broadcasting, spanning 36 years. She made history as the first female chairman of BERNAMA, Malaysia’s national news agency. Her resilience is further exemplified by her athletic achievements as a para-athlete and her record-breaking wheelchair journey from Johor Bahru to Putrajaya. Beyond her public roles, she is also the co-founder of OKU Sentral, an organization dedicated to supporting the disabled community in Malaysia.
