Mohd Afzanizam Mohd Badrin
National Project Coordinator, International Labour Organization (ILO)
Mohd Afzanizam Bin Mohd Badrin is the National Project Coordinator at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Malaysia, a role he has held since May 2019. With over 22 years of experience across industries including construction, manufacturing, and banking, En. Nizam is an expert in designing and implementing development assistance projects, particularly in employment, skills, and social protection. At ILO, he advocates for industry-led Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) models and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) approaches.
His extensive background includes consultancy projects with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), alongside previous roles in Malaysian government agencies like MITI and MyCC. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UUM, a Master’s in Economics from UKM, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration.
En. Nizam is also certified in multiple disciplines, including data science, future thinking, and quality management, and has been an influential speaker at numerous forums across the region.
